I'm a 17 year old girl in Ohio, i work as a widley known pizaa place. Im the only minor girl working there. I work with mostly guys, who all talk about down about women, saying how all were there to do is clean and cook. Several times i'll be the only girl working and they joke around saying that i should perform sexual things to them. I feel uncomfotable, but not knowing how to act i just laught and try to chnge the subject. Recently my GM got fired fro SH, and now my new GM is sexist. He claims the reasons things get messed up is because a girl did it. He wont let me do sertin things, only the guys can, stuff i was doing before he came. I make it clear to them that i dont like how there talking. I say out loud at least once a day to them "Lindz, i work with a bunch of guys." i say it after they say something that makes me feel uncomfotable. I dont know what i should do. :confused:

It could be SH, or it could be just plain old inappropriate, but in either case, no one should be making comments about you doing anything to them as you are a minor. You need to be clear that you don't welcome the comments they make and certainly should report to your GM or someone else in authority any requests for sexual acts. That is illegal and it needs to stop immediately. However, you need to be clear abotu what they are doing that is inappropriate. Just saying you work with a bunch of guys doesn't cut it. If you are uncomfortable reporting it verbally, put the comments in a letter, and keep a copy for yourself.

If this place is widely known, as in a chain, there has to be an owner or corporate office you can contact. Unfortunately, such places rarely attract the best of managers, however the owner or corporate offices should be able to assist you. Try notifying the Human Resoures Department.
