Ok my girlfriend is 17 we live in Indian an has been takein care of her dad since she was little. Like cooking, cleaning, and doin his laundry. Well he mentaly abuses her pretty much every day. Sayin she is a whore she is worthless and screws everything up and this and that. Well he has pushed her and grabed her b4 but she didnt report it. She is failing school (every class) cause she has to worry about the things she has to do at home b4 her school or she will be punished for it. She doesnt have a job. She could live with her mom but her mom has given up on tryin to get custody. Is there any way to help even if it isnt emancipation. Anyway I have been searchin for some time now and cant find the right forms or petitions to get to her to fill out and get emancipated any help is appreciated. Thnk you.

ONE of the requirements for emancipation is that she has to be able to support herself. Without a job, she can’t do that. Why has Mom given up on trying to get custody? Has she talked to a school counselor about the situation at home?
