Neither can you KL. But that is exactly what your asking for. Theadoptee and the birthmother have both suffered from secrecy. Both shouldbe honored. It isn't a contest.Windforest

Yes.. No darn contest..

Some will say the issue is that the birth mom is the one who decided
to relinquish so therefor she is the one who started this in motion..
Therefor she is the one who does not get the benefit of the doubt..

Who put that information out?

The damn ones in charge.. The damn ones who want the damn secrecy..
It serves them well..

In Nova Scotia there was an attempt to open the records in 1999..

Community Services Minister David Morse said the province is simply trying to reflect what it heard from Nova Scotians in 1999.That's when the government brought in a controversial adoption information bill, which was eventually shelved after highly charged debate in the House.Mr. Morse said since that time, the province has stopped guaranteeing permanent confidentiality to birth parents."We do expect that someday there will be open adoption records," he said Tuesday at Province House. "We've already taken steps at recognizing that adoptions that are being made today may be opened up at some time in the future."

Why are they leaving you and others in the mystery?

Could it be that wrong doing had happened? Lies had been told?

Divide and conquer is the game of the day.. IMO
