I was just curious does the State automatically change ur child support based on job change when the child turns three?

The state usually won't automatically do ANYTHING for you. You will probably have to file for a modification, but what does the child turning three have to do with anything?

I don't know I just thought that at the age of three they would review the case. Maybe I misheard. Does it cost a lot for them to review it?

I'm not sure about the whole age-3 thing. It some states the state will not review a child support order for modification until after 3 years from the original order, or a increase or decrease of income by 15%. That may be why your thinking age 3. However, if you hire an attorney to review child support you can do it anytime you want to. Those are your two options, contact any attorney to file for modification, or contact the state to conduct a review. Either way, you will have to take the initiative, the state will not automatically do it. When you use the state, they will do the review at no charge but they represent niether parent and I think they will only do a reveiw for you if you have an account with them for collection services on the support. How you would go about doing it is to contact the child support collection office and request the paperwork to intiate a review of support.
