I am trying to find out what the age is for a miner in Michihgan to decide which parent they want to live with. I have a friend who's daughter is going to be 11yrs and wants to live with him not her mother but need to know if she is old enough to make that decision on her own or is it up to the judge to decide? Plaease help soon!!!!! :confused:

Usually, areound age 13-14+, the court will hear from the child though that really depends on the court and the judge, but regardless of age, until a child is age 18 or emancipated, the court has the final say as to custody.
