June's fling with PC son

THIS is the cringemaking moment when The Bill's June Ackland snogs her own SON.

June, played by Trudie Goodwin, falls into bed with scheming PC Gabriel Kent
Todd Carty of EastEnders and Grange Hill fame.

The sergeant has no idea that Gabriel is the child she put up for adoption
after being raped at 15.

June's colleagues, Inspector Gina Gold and Sergeant Dale Smith, make the
discovery after looking into Gabriel's past. And the inspector orders Smith to
keep the bombshell secret.

Todd said yesterday: ``Kent has shown his darker side in many ways since
arriving in Sun Hill. But we're beginning to see there is more to his
background than most people's.

``He's a devious andmanipulative individual who'll stop at nothing.''

Trudie said the incest storyline is believable.

She said: ``People who are related yet not brought up together are apparently
attracted to one another because they see themselves in each other.

``I can see how they fall in love it's a fine line.'' Butshe admitted: ``You
can almost hear the `Eurghh!' from viewers, especially my children.

``My girls will not want to think of mum like this.''

The Bill's executive producer Paul Marquess said: ``It's a dark, uncomfortable
story. But, morally, at the end, I think people will say we played it right.''

The scenes will be shown on December 3.

DoB: 31 August 1963, so in fact she'd have been not quite 12 at the time
then rather than 15, some mistake surley? And how dreadful him being adopted
by Pauline from Eastenders.

She could have worded that better! I can't quite see the similarity m'self.
