View Full Version : Jurisdiction Question - PA and NJ

padadof3 04-08-2006, 02:41 PM I have a question about jurisdiction. I was married and lived in PA for 10 years with my x. We were divorced, but before we were, she moved with my children to NJ. The divorce proceeding and order were issued from NJ. My question is: Do NJ laws apply for emancipation since the order originated from NJ, or should PA laws apply since we lived in PA and I still do? The calculation was based on PA guidelines and was included in the divorce agreement that the judge in NJ basically rubber stamped. Thank You.. |
