I have been working at this establishment in Kentucky for almost 5 months and since then we've always had an hour break for lunch. As of today my boss told us that not only would we be working 1/2 an hour more, but our lunches would be a 1/2 an hour shorter, I work almost 8 hours per day as it is. Please help!!!!

KY law requires a "reasonable" off-duty period near the middle of the shift. It does not require that you receive an hour lunch break (with a single industry specific exception in NY, NO state requires that you receive an hour lunch break). In addition, your employer has the right to require you to work as many hours as he finds necessary. Your complaint that you work "almost" eight hours a day already is not going to find much sympathy, since many, many employees work more than eight hours a day as a matter of course.
