My employer does not offer STD. I am expecting in Sept and am wondering if KY has any short term disability available to me during this time. I will be unpaid during my maternity leave. I understand that I can not get a policy on my own now do to the fact that I am already pregnant. Thank you in advance for your help.

The state of KY is not one of the very few with a state plan, sorry.

The only states where there is a state plan or where an employer is required by law to offer an std benefit are CA, HI, NJ, NY and RI.
