Husbands x wife is a nightmare. They had a daughter before they divorced...beautiful little girl (8 yrs old). X-wife has a father who is an attorney in town. He plays golf with the judge...the judge we had to present our case to. Needless to say, the judge didn't allow any evidence or witnesses in the trial and my husband lost more than he should have. Never got passed the chambers. Xwife is now claiming that I, the new wife, have been child abusing the little girl. Untrue. Currently there is no visitation whatsoever while waiting for the next bout in court...on the 13th of this month...over this matter. My husband and I have discussed and are trying to determine if we should just give up completely. The Xwife has the little girl lying and brainwashed with little or no hope for recovery. And obviously the little girl would rather be with her mother or she wouldn't keep lying so horribly about us. Previous child abuse charges were to be unfounded against my husband - two years ago. We figure next, the x will have the little girl say bad things about my 12 year old son....we don't want that. Question - if my husband reqlinquished all his parental rights to the x - would he still have to pay child support? We will never win, heck we weren't even allowed to participate in a trial. It stinks all the way around! But what is the most hidious thing of all is that this beautiful, smart little girl is at the center of this vicious dispute.
