I have a questions about Indiana labor laws and if it applies to my situation. Here is the situation.

I work for a firm that has a contract with a company. I am an hourly employee. This company has Good Friday off as a holiday but my company does not. My employer is giving us the choices of taking a PTO day, Take the day without pay, or work 4-10 hour days.

Is this legal? Again I am an hourly employee.

Yes, it is. Your employer does not have to offer the same holidays as the client company. In fact, they don't, by law, have to offer any.

I know the employer doesnt have to comply with the same holiday schedule but this is a scheduled work day for my company but they are telling us we cannot work that day. We have to take a PTO day, a day without pay or work 4 10 hour days. Is this legal?
