I posted this before, but Im pretty sure I found my answer that they have to be married. If they have to be married, for how long? Is their any exceptions if they are engaged?

Also what if I move to another state and in that state allows a father to terminate his parental rights without having the child to be adopted just as long as both bio parents agree?

please, i need some insite to my questions!
thank you in advance,
mike

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew what PAs law was about a father signing his rights over? I am not asking about other states, only PA. I think you are able to if both bio parents agree, and if there is someone willing to adopt the child. Now the question I am trying to figure out is, does the mother have to be married to the guy willing to adopt the child? I have a son that I do not see and do not wish to have a relationship with, I have not been there for any period of time for the child that is now 3. The mother has been in a relationship with a guy that has been a father figure to the child and is willing to adopt. They are engaged but do not know when they will offically marry.

Please anyone know? PA's laws are so complicated!

Thanks,
Mike
