I forgot to include that on the day I was fired a former employee
was told that I was fired by the receptionist and the third party
was given my phone number. He called me and I talked to
him. I asked him how he found out and he told me the
receptionist told him and gave him my number.

Please append any follow up to your original post. We all read many, many posts here every day, and we cannot necessarily remember the details of every post.

However, it was not illegal for the receptionist to tell him that you were fired, or to give him your phone number. Neither is information protected by law.
