My Fiancee recently found out that his ex wife (lives in Missouri) is committing medicaid fraud. Although my fiancee has insurance on his two boys, she told the missouri SRS that she was a single mom with four kids (she's going on two years of marriage this weekend). If we were to turn her in, what would happen? If she was ordered to pay the money she scammed them out of, would we be respsonible for paying 78% of it? (it states in the divorce that fiancee is responsible for paying 78% of the medical bills). Also, she is using medicaid as the primary insurance, not fiancee's insurance. That is illegal, too. We aren't sure what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If she has actually committed fraud, any restitution would be paid by her, not your F.

Your fiance should gather copies of the CS order and proof of insurance and send them to the medicaid office. In some situations a CP can legally collect medicaid while NCP pays for ins, however, the CP is required to inform the medicaid office of CS recieved and any other insurance. By sending those with a short letter, your fiance will be making sure that they have all the true info.
