If a salaried employee in the State of Missouri is paid bi-monthly, what are their pay dates? Is it the 1st and the 16th or is it the 15th and the 31st? Also, what can an employee do about recurring insufficient funds Payroll Checks? The checks are always taken care of right away and all bounced check fees are paid, but the checks still bounce due to a payroll administrator who does not transfer funds to the payroll account in a timely manner. :( :o

Minor correction in terminology. A pay frequency of twice a month is semi-monthly, not bi-monthly. Bi-weekly is once every two weeks. ;)
Ok, on to the questions. If in manufacturing, Missouri law requires that you be paid no later than 5 days following the end of the pay period. If not, the employer has up to 16 days following the end of the pay period to pay.
And even though the employer reimburses you for NSF charges, at some point, your bank will consider you a bad risk. This can also adversely affect your credit rating. Contact the state Dept. of Labor to discuss the recurring issues of bounced payroll checks. They will not look kindly on such incidents.
And just for my benefit, I've managed very large payrolls for many years, and I would be firing that payroll administrator post haste. On the other hand, where is her manager to make sure she is doing her job?
