Can somebody confirm this:
Is it true that an employee who works in the private sector is not legally entitled to receive holidays off?

Does this mean that the employer has full discretion as to give you the holiday off?

Okay, duplicate post or no, let's make this 100% clear.

In all 50 states, there are NO holidays that a private employer is required to give to his employees under the law. It is 100% the employer's choice and discretion whether to provide any holidays, paid or unpaid, and if so, which ones. There are NO holidays to which a private employee is entitled by law. Yes, it is true that an employee who works in the private sector is not entitled to have holidays off.

I hope that this is now perfectly clear.
