I recently accepted a job offer. After the acceptance I was sent for a pre-employment physical. The Doctor found that I had a hernia. Is it legal for the company to now withdraw the offer of a job?

A hernia isn't likely to rise to the level of a disability, even under California's liberal law. If your job requires a lot of lifting, which you won't be able to do, then they don't have to hire you. Sorry. |
