I work in an IT dept in San Diego CA, Their 4 people in the dept my manager, senior network admin and the network admin, and my self tech support.
The problem is with the senior admin that has been with the company for about 13 years and has 9 warming on behavior, the problem with me is that he gives me orders and disrespect my knowledge and experience in from of other people other people have had problems with him also in the past with my manager, and because his been in the company for so long they are afraid to terminate him because he may bring a lawsuit against the company
This person is not liked by many people in the company because of his people skills
Are dept had a meeting with him about his actions and to told him that he is not the manager of the supervisor last week he disrespected me in front of another employee and we had a argument in the hall way of are office and I pushed him and he fell back I have been suspended because of this and given a warning.
If there any thing that I can do if this person has many complaints from other employee on his people skills, the reason that I did not get terminate is that I am a hard worker, people like my work.
What can I do? It’s a good company to just leave because of this person but also I am afraid that he my put me an a spot that I may do something worse
