I was forced to work when I had disability release form stating that I could be released back to work on such and such day. But 2 days before being released back to work they called me back to work. Is this legal? I live in CA.

Can you give us some more information, please? Did you actually work, or did you explain that you couldn't since you hadn't been released yet? Did they ask you to work knowing that you couldn't, or was it a clerical error (they got the date wrong, or something like that)? Are you actually disabled, or was this a temporary problem?

I hurt my shoulder and was under a doctors care and had been placed on disability for 3 days and after that limited work not push pull or lift anything over 10 lbs for 1 week after. I am in sales and service industry my boss was coming from out of town I contacted him 2 days before his arrival told him that the doctor had put me on disability for 3 days he told me he would not cancel and that we would work the route anyway. I had no choice in matter he said the route had to be worked. I faxed him copies of the paper work. So yes I worked. He did most of the lifting and harder work but I still drove and did some of the service work.
