California :) I was offered a job with a company near my home and the pay sounded pretty good, so I took the job. At first I filled out a W-9 and was being paid within the time frame I was supposed to be being paid. Pay was per each inspection. After being paid a couple of times, I no longer received any money. While I was waiting to be paid I did a lot of inspections. In the end before I finally quit doing them they ended up owing me about $2500.00, they never paid. Now after trying to contact them for months, I finally got ahold of them and they promised to pay asap. I was really calling this time just to see if they were going to send my 1099 so I could file it with my taxes. They said they would and when it didn't come, they gave me some lame excuse about why I didn't receive it. This is March 17th and I still have not received it or heard from them. I need to file my taxes, what should I do?
