Ok here's my situation. My husband and I just bought our first home. We live in GA. We bought this brand new home with the understanding that there was a one year warranty on the home. There are things that need to be fixed 8 months after moving in. The builder is saying there is no warranty on the home. We are the first owners. Is there anything we can do. My father-in-law told me that by GA state law we are entitled to a 1 year warranty. Is this true? Can someone please help me.

No one can really answer this. I suggest that you take what you think is a warranty to a real estate attorney for review to see if there really is a warranty. If you believe there is one, seek legal action. But you first need to go see a GA attorney with the contracts for the purchase and any home warranty papers.
