kansas factory job-started working in july 05-was placed in a department with 2-women 1-suppose to be in charge of department-1-the bosses sister-after about 1 month found out personal involvement with these 2 women-found it was becomming my problem-to be in that department because of games=jeoulous=fear of keeping my job because of being told how they got rid of anyone they did not like=well needed employment so tried to deal with the situation=informed supervisor of need to be transferred-out of department -i could no longer deal with these 2 women-and feared 1-women to be vindictive-(she was incarcerated)-was concerned of her tactics=so was told about postion comming up in Dec 05 -said yeah that would be great--in jan i was placed in postion work was fine i could do a productive job-then was told because i was such a quality worker in my last dept. that the owner-plant manager wanted me back in that dept.-was placed in old dept.-they started to move #2 women (bosses sister)but she still was in out and the situation was worse between the two-so was moved to hinge dept.then because # 1 women was not performing her job-had to be moved back-then was told had to inspect her work-this really had me in fear or retalliation from # 1women-#2 women told me not to do anything to her #1 -women because she would still stand behind her. i am a very valuable employee - company dedicated-realiable-(received 3 month bonus pay for non absent-quality work took my job my creditabilty to heart.could no longer put up with situation even supervisor was on their side so i left-didnt call back-felt like just too much to deal with. please advise i want to sign up for unemployment asap dont want to be denied. their fault for my leaving.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't read that. Please remove the underlining and use standard capitalization and punctuation. That would help a lot.

They had told me over and over how lucky I was that the two of them liked me. They had gotton rid of any person they didn't like and they bragged about their power over that department. It wasn't long and the two of them was involving me in their games with on another, just to to make the other one jealous and so on. I asked my supervisor to move me because could not take such pressure, never knowing when they would get rid of me, so I was moved a couple of times to different departments, only to be placed back in that department because the owner said I was a top quality sander, and that the women, not his sister was not doing quality work, so I was to inspect her work. My supervisor was fully aware of this situation, and so was the owner of the factory, they also was aware of my concerns of being involved in such matters. I left the factory I felt there was nothing management would do about the situation please advise I need to file for unemployment, and I dont want to be denied][FONT=Arial]

Sorry, but if that's the whole story you almost certainly will be denied. It is next to impossible to get unemployment if you quit.

You mean to tell me that no matter what the unreasonable working conditions are you are suppose to keep working for them. Management would not transfer me into another department, expected me to cover for the lead person, whom was recieving higher wage. she was not moved or decreased in pay, because of her involvement with the owners sister!!! Also this women was capable of causing trouble for me in many ways, not sure of what extent she would try. I am just to be able to handle this type of situation. Was told if they moved her she would perform worse and cause problems, where I come from a employee would be repremanded and placed accordingly. It states similar policy in company handbook, but because of her involvement with owners sister was allowed to do whatever and however???
I had a good relationship with my superviser, and owners sister which I thought, they knew I had enough ,no one even called me to discuss the problem, and just before this a friend had a situation at work,and everyone there called to talk with her. know seems petty but you must understand this is a company in small town, approx.75 employees.

No, that's not what I'm saying. You have the option of finding other work. You have the option of quitting. But you do not have the option of quitting and collecting unemployment.

No one was doing anything illegal. They may have been bragging about how they much power they had but when push came to shove, no one fired you; no one demoted you; no one took any adverse action against you. Granted, management didn't make them stop bragging, but management wasn't required to do so. Bragging that you control the department, whether you do or not, is not against the law. You decided you didn't want to work with them any more and you quit. It's exceedingly unlikely that the UI division of your state will determine that you had no viable options except quitting, which is what it would take before you could collect.

[FONT=Courier New][SIZE=4]MANAGEMENT WOULD NOT TRANSFER ME OUT OF THIS DEPARTMENT!!IT SEEMED LIKED HARRASMENT TO ME AND THEY WANTED ME TO QUIT,WHY DOES A PERSON HAVE TO WAIT FOR SOMETHING BAD TO HAPPEN BEFORE, YOU QUALIFY?THEY HAD ME IN SUCH ARRAY, I HAD NO CHOICE. THIS WOMEN WAS IN PRISON FOR 5 YEARS, THEREFORE HER CAPIBILITIES WAS UNLIMITED ACTIONS SHE TOOK. THE SISTER AND HER WAS INVOLVED IN A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP.GAY PLEASE I HOPE THIS IS A PRIVATE MATTER, OR AT LEAST I DONT WANT TO GET IN TROUBLE FOR REVEALING INDIVIDUALS. PLEASE HELP STILL THINK THIS IS SOMETHING TO QUALIFY.THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP , AND FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

For future reference, please do not type in all caps. It makes your post very hard to read and is considered shouting on the internet.

Nothing you have posted meets the definition for illegal harassment. Management had no legal obligation to transfer you out of the department. Just because they wanted you to quit, doesn't mean you had to oblige them.

I'm sorry, but you still have said nothing to lead me to believe that quitting would qualify you for unemployment.

Quit due to working conditions hazardous to uour physical, mental, or moral well being.
Well mentally this situation was unbearable, management would not transfer me to another department.
Quit due to unwelcome harassment by the employer or another employee.
Co-Worker had told me of things she had done to other employees, and she had been lock up , fear of what kind of actions she may of taken.
please take another look at this , cause im a hard working dedicated worker , received 3 month bonus .

Why does it matter so much what I think? I'm not the unemployment office; I don't decide whether you get unemployment or not, nor is my opinion binding on the unemployment office.

Apply for unemployment and see what they say.

Just as cbg stated it doesn't matter what any of us say. It is going to be up to you to convince the UEI board in your state that you are entitled to unemployment benefits. Based on your post you make alot of assumptions that most reasonable people wouldn't about your situation.

I was denied UI for a situation that involved porn in the work place. I advised my supervisor (the one who hired me) of my dissatisfaction. The porn was removed but then the retalliation started. I quit after less then 2 months.

The UI hearing officer informed me that I should have contacted my bosses boss before quitting. It did not matter that the man lived out of state and that I've never met the dude. Likely, you will hear something similiar.

Have you been to a shrink because of the mental/emotional duress?
