I am scheduled to work 5 days a week for 6 hours a day for a total of 30 in a week. I generally work more hours, but not more than 40. I am paid every two weeks. The extra hours over the 30 per week I banked and took off during the summer when things are slower in my position. It has been brought to my attention that I am in violation of the law. I have done some research and thought that as long as I was not a 40 hour a week employee or that my extra hours did not constitute overtime that this would just be a wash. I like the idea of having the same pay every two weeks and being able to take off during the summer with the hours I have worked, but not been paid for. Please advise. Thank you!
