I was hired Feb 05. In November 05 had paid maternity leave. I returned to my full time position in January 06. I was told in Feb 06 I had to go part-time because it won't be as busy and automation (computer data downloaded electronically). Yet I was hired this same time last year as a full time employee. Furthermore, my employer than gave extra accounting work to a full-time worker, which I am qualified and experienced to do. I was also told my position was always a part-time position, but myself and two others were full time since 1999. If it was always a permnant part-time position why did she offer me and accept my full time employment and never explained this"part-time position" to me until after I came back from maternity leave?
The other "manager" stated maybe I could part time for now and full time when it gets busier. She didn't agree to this.

The second part is I was told when I speak about God in the workplace it's offensive and I can't do it anymore because it offends certain employees and they think I am fake and a phoney.

I used to rent a home from my employer and there were issued that arose from this.I wonder if she would have made me go part time if I was still renting her house?
She actually asked me outsidedurning work to "talk" about our personal problems regarding the house. I told her she treats me differently, and she confessed she knew she was doing this but it was hard for her not to because I hurt her. She also told other employees regarding our personal problems. I don't know what to do. I feel she wants me to quit, in fact she has even stated " Why don't you go and get a job at a doctor's office since you want to be a nurse" The last employee had to go to the owner because this employer wasn't interpreting the employee handbook correctly for vacation pay.
Thank you
Terry

If it was always a permnant part-time position why did she offer me and accept my full time employment and never explained this"part-time position" to me until after I came back from maternity leave? Maybe she thought things would be busy enough that they'd be able to continue to provide you with full-time employment. You had paid maternity leave - that is not required and is a very generous benefit. I would imagine if your employer had a problem with your maternity leave, they would have found a reason to let you go or reduce you to part-time before you had leave - it would have saved them a lot of money.

The second part is I was told when I speak about God in the workplace it's offensive and I can't do it anymore because it offends certain employees and they think I am fake and a phoney. I agree with the boss. People go to work to work - not to listen to someone bend their ear about their religious beliefs.

I used to rent a home from my employer and there were issued that arose from this.I wonder if she would have made me go part time if I was still renting her house? Obviously no one here could possibly know but I don't see how the two issues are at all related.

She actually asked me outsidedurning work to "talk" about our personal problems regarding the house. I told her she treats me differently, and she confessed she knew she was doing this but it was hard for her not to because I hurt her. She also told other employees regarding our personal problems. I don't know what to do. I feel she wants me to quit, in fact she has even stated " Why don't you go and get a job at a doctor's office since you want to be a nurse" So you and the manager have some personal history and some bad blood. That's unfortunate but it's not illegal. Perhaps starting fresh with a new job elsewhere (especially since you apparently need full-time work) is a good suggestion.

The last employee had to go to the owner because this employer wasn't interpreting the employee handbook correctly for vacation pay. Completely irrelevant to your situation.
