If I may, please edit your post to add some paragraphs and white space. That big block of text is going to cause most responders to not even attempt wading through it.

Noted and fixed, thanks! It got worse today and I am pretty sure I will be fired for not showing up this weekend, but I will have an MD excuse.

It generally surprises people to learn that a doctor's note has no force in law, with very limited exceptions which do not apply here. Nor is an employer required by law to provide light duty except (in some states) in workers comp situations, which is also not the case here.

The phrase, hostile work environment, has a very specific meaning under the law. What you describe does not meet that definition.

I don't know about your state, but in some states they have not only the right but the responsibility to ask questions to determine if you are in an abusive relationship and make the appropriate reports if so. I found this out when I was in the emergency room after a skiing accident. My husband is the most gentle man alive but they don't know that.

Well, if there's things you haven't told us, we can't comment on them. All I can tell you is that based on what you have posted here, you are not in a hostile work environment under the law. I don't read minds and can't respond to what you don't put in your post.

Since you have spoken to a lawyer whose answers you like better than the ones you get here, I'll let the answer I've already provided stand and you can check with the lawyer as to any others.
