i have been robbed twice in the last month and it totaled over $1000.00.my landlord tells me it is probably my friends and does not want to let me out of the lease!also wants to keep deposit!can this be right?

usually is an inside job; does not sound unreasonable but if friends are the problem then maybe stop having visitors over
