I was wondering if anyone can tell me if keeping a log on me can be considered creating a hostile work enviroment. I was given a copy of a log that a co-worker has been keeping on me. She has listed everytime I leave my desk and how long I am away. One time she noted that I took my purse and cell phone with me. As well as all calls that I make or receive, the duration of the call and if it's personal or not. She even has names of the people that I've talked to.

Any suggestions on how this should be handled are greatly appreciated.

No, it is not in any way illegal. It is very petty and a waste of her time, but not prohibited by any laws.

To be honest, I'd ignore it. Arguing with her over it is only going ot make her think you have something to hide and it isn't showing any wrongdoing on your part anyway. If she wants to play Harriet the Spy, let her. She'll eventually get bored.

The phrase, hostile work environment, has a very specific meaning under the law and this does not come even remotely close to meeting it.

I agree with Elle. Ignore her. She's not breaking any laws and whatever she thinks she's going to do with this information, it's doubtful that your management will pay any attention.
