I work for an auto parts chain and during the winter months when business is slowed down the boss tells us that we are not allowed to take lunch breaks. He tells us that without a certain ammount of business that he can't justify having another person come in and relive us so we can take a lunch break. On a Sunday that is a 10 hour shift with no lunch. He says that our break is considered to be in between customers which is too unpredictable, and alot of times there aren't breaks in between customers all day. But during times when customers aren't in there we are expected to do things such as put freight away and other duties. What can we as employees do legally to get a lunch break.... is there any action we can take to stop this.......
