Now if each and every one of us on the list would copy the jist of this
letter along with some nice details of their own........send it to every
Editor you can reach.......MAYBE someone might just take an interest in this
subject enough to DO something about it.

Famous adoptees who have successfully searched and found their bparents/med
info should champion this cause!

(Faith Hill, Melissa Gilbert,Sarah Gilbert ect)

It NEEDS to be brought to National attention and what better month to do
it???

I think we should each write a letter to the editor of our local and state
newspapers each November. Hey, and you know it wouldnt hurt to write a
letter to the local broadcasting networks such as tv and radio also!

Believe me........adoptees are a huge population and if we could get them
ALL to speak at once somebody is going to listen eventually!

Adoption has touched many lives.......I dont think I know many families that
it hasnt touched in one way or the other.

Speak up now.

I mean we all want it to happen but we never do anything.

Many people speaking as one LOUD voice will get things done.

This is bull****....this search does not belong to the person who
posted it. She goes around and joins different lists with different
searches claiming that they are hers. Actually, she is a search angel
trying to obtain information as a middle man and she also makes
contact phone calls to "surprise" the adoptee or birthparent
searching, claiming "I just talked to your birthmother/birthchild."
Natch, she joins Bernice's group. Many searches that don't belong to
her have been posted on there already. I don't know about you but I
would not want my information being posted by another person without
permission and I wouldn't want my information going to someone who
might make contact calls on my behalf without my permission.

I could not agree with you more !
No one has the right to do this nor do they have the right to contact
on the behalf of the person searching unless directed to do so . When
you find your family this may very well be the only chance that you
have to speak with them and it is the most critical point in your
search . I cannot stress enough the importance of calls being made
by the person searching themselves . I have seen many calls made
by strangers who totally ruined the chance for future contact . This
is like a stranger who hears a conversation by a doctor telling a
parent their child is dying and then this person going to them and
saying " Oh by the way , your family isn`t going to tell you that you
are dying but I am telling you . "
Make your own contact or you may regret it for the rest of your life.
For someone to claim they are in search of family and not to be that
person is even worse . How dare this person do that !!!!!!!!
It is getting scary out here . People making calls without permission,
posing as adoptees to get help , and groups that sprang up out of
nowhere
who are only causing pain and destruction of trust . It is time to
put the trust back in the adoption community by getting rid of these
people . Start an online
petition to remove groups that only destroy what took others years to
accomplish . It`s time to get rid of these people .
