Honey, the last 2 1/2 years have taught me patience - The time for that is over.
I am sending hopes and prayers that she answers..

Oh, I'm sure she'll answer - However, I will be shocked if she agrees to getting
together. And if she doesn't and gives her usual flowery vague excuses, then I
think, as she once put it, "it's time to put the matter to rest".

She knows where to find me/write me if she wants.

Aaah, Vicodin. I also enjoy any over-the-counter meds that make me sleep. Too
bad I don't have time for that stuff.

Well, I figure she's going to get the letter today or tomorrow. She has the

I'm coming in late - did you send a letter to your b'mother? Is this the first
time you've written her?

Is this the firsttime you've written her?

Oh no, I've been writing her for almost 2 1/2 years. We got off to a good
start, then I asked some questions about my bdad (i.e., his surname) and my
half-siblings and she told me to "put the matter to rest and don't ask me any
further questions". After that, I didn't contact her for 8 months. Finally, I
decided to make a last-ditch effort to get my bdad's name and wrote her begging
her for it. She refused a 2nd time, but said I should feel free to write to her
whenever I wished. Since then, I've been writing her every two months with
letters that are just basically shooting the breeze, telling her about my
family, etc. I'm at the point now where I want this "reunion" to either move
forward or end, so I wrote her a letter this week requesting a face-to-face
meeting. Her response will probably be a "no", but it was just something I had
to do.

Right now, two friends of mind are thinking of visiting her home town
"incognito" ;)

How far do you live from her? And why wouldn't she want to meet you? Mine
doesn't even want a photo - nothing. She would never agree to a meeting.

A little over two hours away.
And why wouldn't she want to meet you?

We don't know for sure if that's the case. I'll find out if/when I get a
response to my letter requesting a meeting.

Well, boogers to that. When I first contacted my bmom, I sent her one of my
wedding photos as well as a picture of my daughter. She was nice enough to send
me a picture of herself when she replied. I was also able to locate a book
written by her mother which had a photo of her in the book jacket.
