she's just trying to disguise herself as a kindlyold Irish granny. Granny? Helen's a granny? Ahem. Actually my second son (26) is the dad of a soon-to-be-four year old daughter and (an unmarried) step-dad of her ten year old half-sister. His gf is expecting another baby in (I think) April. So technically, I suppose I am. However I have never been called anything but Helen by anyone, including my grand daughter. I certainly will not be 'granny', and would (reluctantly) allow myself to be referred to as Grandma Helen, for differentiation purposes, only. :-) By the way: I am not old - except to someone *considerably* younger than GR.
And here I thought you were objecting to "kindly."
