Hello,
I live in NE.
I had recently lost my job and have not paid Feb rent. Its now coming to March. I have just gotten 2 jobs which will more than pay the past due plus march rent however my first check will not be until march 17 or the 24th.
My question is that my landlord gave me a letter stating that they need thier income and to vacate by the end of this month.
I have informed them of my situation and they are still hesitant on letting me stay.
Ok for the question. Do they have to get a court order of eviction before im forced to move out or will thier typed letter serve as an evicition notice?
The letter has no sort of court or notorary symbol/signiture at all.

Any advise would be helpful.

Thank you

Edit: Other Factors that may or may not help
1. I have lived here almost 4 years now.
2. I have only been late a couple times on rent never more thena week.
3. I would have to leave around 80% of my belongings which is quite a bit that I would not be able to take with me.
4. Never once had a problem with the landlord before now.

Any sort of loop hole or legal advise or even advice on what to say to the landlord to help them reconsider would be helpful

Thanks

before we were interrupted.
it depends on your rent day, your court day, the courts allow you to pay if its a notice to pay or quit thats why i asked you what kind of notice it was.
oh and 2 jobs doesnt sound like welfare to me as milky put it

Sounds like you were given notice to vacate and if you do not vacate, then they can evict you. The thing is- you are late on rent, so if they go to court, you will still get evicted anyway in all likelihood unless you and landlord work something out.
