Myself and coworkers work on commission only. After our store closes we must stay until the rest of the store is cleaned (1/2 hour to 2+ hours) a night. We do not get paid for any of this. Our boss told us we have 4 hours a week that we can do misc. stuff without pay. Can you have employee's that work for free? When we stay over we obviously can't clock out so our met rate (what we make in commission's and hour $25.50 or etc. that is our vacation or sick pay) gets lowered for every hour we are there without pay. We're really getting the shaft here and was just curious on what Iowa law said about that. Thanks

Are you in retail sales? If not what do you sell and to whom?

Is the $25.50 the amount you are making per hour, including these extra after work hours?
