1) is it true that i can claim my son every other year for taxes because i pay support? he doesnt live with me
2) is the father responsable for 100% of all medical bills ?
3) is babysitting , daycare etc.. under the support or is that extra i would have to pay?
i will have more questions in the next few days i cant afford a lawyer so i need all the help i can get. thanx

4) does her monthly bills ( rent , electric etc....) affect what i would have to pay for support?

Just because you pay child support does not mean that you can claim your son on your taxes. You can't even claim the support on your taxes. The law states (and this is everywhere it doesnt matter what state you live in) that the child must live with the parent for at least 6 months in order to be claimed by the parent, unless otherwise stated by a court. I live in NJ so I really don't know the child support laws in NY, But in NJ my ex pays for 1/2 of the medical, half of activities. It depends on how much money you and she make for them to determine child support, they may also see what each of your expenses are. You can go to google and look up NY state child support laws. 1)the child has to live with you for 6 months to claim him
2)depends on what the order says, my order says the non custodial parent provides the insurance and is responsible half after the first $500
3)daycare is usually added in the support order
some states have free legal advice or representation
