I want to opt out of the medical insurance that my company offers because my husband's insurance is better. My experience has always been that the company gives you money for opting out, because you are note receiving a benefit that everyone else gets. My company in Oregon says no, I would get nothing for opting out becuase it is my choice to take it or not.
Are there any laws stating that they are required to compensate me for not receiving the benefit?
Thanks!
