Hi,
A guy I work with has had his wages garnished for the 13 years I have known him. He is 100k+ in arrears, will never be able to pay it off, cannot get credit, and barely makes ends meet.
This seems very harsh for a mistake he made 25 years ago. Is there any way to work with the State to reduce/dismiss this debt?

Your co-worker needs to get an attorney like yesterday. No one on an internet forum is going to be able to help him- other than to advise him to speak to an attorney, sorry.
