I tried searching since I figured this would be a very simple question, but cannot seem to locate any previous threads. I work for a college in North Carolina as a temporary employee and I'm also a student there. We are paid once a month and our timecard sheet must be turned in by the end of the previous month. Anyhow, for January I turned in my timesheet and expected to be paid today. Instead I was notified that there was an administrative error (the normal lady handling payroll from my department was on vacation and the other lady messed up the forms). So they now tell me there is no way they can just "write me a check" and that I will most likely have to wait until March 15 to get paid. What should my course of action be and specifically where should I look for any labor laws that they are violating? Thanks in advance,
