My wife was sent by her company to workers compensation provider for severe pain in her upper neck. Through a series of visits to W.C. doctors and subsequent referral to orthopedic surgeon, the diagnosis was cervical bulging disks. W.C. denied benefits based on determination her typing job was not the cause of injury but may have flared up the injury. Short term disability refused benefits siting a law that states there is a six month waiting period after W.C. and return to work, before benefits are paid. Currently had to receive treatment from personal doctor with steroid injections for pain. Does such a law exist? Sounds like catch 22! Wife remains off work with no pay.
