:( My son married, then adopted her child 2 years later. Many problems with the marriage before and after the adoption(both even lied in court about having a stable marriage for the adoption). They had separated before the finalization of the adoption, but he was talked into getting back together and the adoption grace period was over and final. He thought this would help the marriage. Three months later, they separated and she moved to KY saying she wouldn't ask anything of him.Well, that didn't happened and he's obligated to pay child support which he hasn't done very well. She has moved back and giving him a very bad time.
Bottom line, the child and he do not communicate, visit or anything and that is a long story. He wants out of his parental rights and child support. Can he get out of this and how? He's been told no, but then some law officers have indicated he should talk to a judge. He realizes he will still be obligated for the back support.Any help and advice, please.

No, he wont be able to just relinquish his rights. There would have to be another stepparent who was willing to adopt. How old is the child? If he wants visitation he will need to file for visitation, other than that she is not obligated at this point to allow him to see his child.

No. He has adopted a child and the only way out of the responsibilities that come with that is if someone else is willing to adopt the child and assume the responsibility. This is something he should have taken a lot more seriously and realized the responsibilities knowing he was going through a bad marriage.
