I worked for a California company and traveled for a short periods of time.
I was a non-exempt employee.
There was one situation where I worked in another State for 3 weeks at a time, for 6 months. I would work 3 weeks in that state, 1 week in California.
I understand there was a difference between California and Federal Law when it comes to compensation for travel over a weekend. I was never assigned to the office, I stayed assigned to the California office. Even my non-billable time was booked to the California office.
The question is: Was I entitled to compensation for the two weekends I had to stay in the other State, during the 3 week trips?
