My situation is I have worked for a particular (large) DOD Contracting Company for 7 months. I was a rehire with 18 months under my belt before I left the first time for family reasons. The situation at hand is my boss and I had discrepancies over how to mix providing support to the Government and how to manage corporate responsibilities. Neither of us were wrong in our discussions, just varying perspectives. For no apparent reason he called me over the weekend and asked me to come into his office on Monday. I showed up and he flipped out and fired me (very much against corporate policy and the wording was extremely unethical). My administrative assistant was present and started to cry asking him if he really just fired me (as he was walking down the hallway suit and all cussing and telling me to get the f*** out of the office) I was a little actually scared what he might do, but I didn't make a big deal out of it; I gathered my things and left. About an hour later he made my assistant call and request my presence back at the office. I called HR immediately and asked what I should do. They requested I come in and talk. I did that today and all they could say was first of all we are going to setup a meeting to get you back to work (for the same boss can you believe that?) as soon as possible and for right now just go home under leave without pay pretenses and we will call you in a few days. What should I do? Seek legel consult ASAP or let them just put me back to work under the same boss? Very confused someone please help!
