Can an employer prevent employees to engage in lawful jobs for the same company when they work for another contractor? The employees would do the job on their own times. Could "conflict of interest" be valid if the employees present only their labor while working for another contractor?

I'm having a hard time following you but yes, an employer may legally fire an employee for working a second job if they believe a conflict of interest may occur.
