View Full Version : Discrimination Issue w/ Supervisor

:mad: I had a problem with one of the employees that happen to be a supervisor for another dept. the situation was that I work at a hotel I'm the auditor I work the graveyard shift 11pm-7am by myself and a security guard I'm basically in charge of the entire place and in an event of emergencies depending on what it is I contact the appropiate dept mngr,however in the engineering dept one of the guys lives in the hotel mon to fri so i was told that if there ever was a problem that he can resolve to first contact him, which is something that i pesonally would have never done because he is a very rude person, that I previously had a problem with because of his discriminating ways and language that he uses towards people. Anyway that night i had to call him regarding a problem and again he was extremely rude telling me all kinds of bad words and names I politely told him that the only reason I called to bother him is because I was told to and that there was no need for hi to insult me and that if he couldn't help then I would contact someone else, he became furious threatening me w/ his abusive language so i told him that I would contact someone else and hang up the phone a few minutes later I saw a mngr for another dept that was on his way out and told him what had happen at that point this rude guy showed up continuing with his comments about me being a moron, idiot, stupid and what not I just stood there and said nothing but I was really close to just walk out of the job because he made me cry with his insults but out of being responsible i stood there and worked my shift , I sent an e-mail to my mngr of what had happened and that something had to be done because this was not the first time this guy reacted like that w/me or even other employees but because of his high connections w/people nothing ever gets documented or done about it. About a week later I get called to HR supposely to follow up on this matter but instead I get written up saying that I shouldn't have hanged up the phone regardless of what he said to me and suddenly the other manager claims that he witnessed the situation and that he hear anything. At that point I refused to sign anything and asked HR rep to view the tapes from that night but she claims that there's nothing for her to see or hear. Again this guy is got his connections so no one can touch him and honestly i wouldn't bother but I really feel insulted by his racist comments. Now becuse of that i notice they want to get rid of me , the nasty looks are every where just because I opened my mouth and is sad to see that even the HR rep is another puppet that's being manipulated by this Management. I thought that Human Resourses was there to represent the law not to pick sides for her own convenience.
***Please help me w/ some advise I have a baby and is really hard for me to leave the house to find answers somewhere else.
