Ok, I'm 18 years old and work for a large shipping company. In late November and throughout December, our working hours double from 4 to 8. At four hours they give us a ten minute paid break, and at six, they give us another 10 minute paid break. I thought that we should have gotten a half hour unpaid break at six hours. We weren't even given an option. Should I have gotten the half hour???
Also, I do breaks in my work area, and I know that employees under 18 should get 2 ten minute paid breaks and one half hour unpaid break if they work over five hours. Well, my supervisor told me to not give them their 2 ten minute paid breaks, but their half hour breaks only. Is that legal?
