I was asualted at work by another non management employee. The employee was never escorted off the property instead allowing him to still work the rest of the day. I was told i should turn in a police report. My company is still pending an investigation into the matter even though it was an obvious attack. Its now on day three and nobody seems to know any answers on what the outcome will be. Is there any laws in oklahoma that state when an employee commits an act of violence he is immediately terminated?

There are no laws in any state where the employer is required by law to terminate someone, no matter what they have done.

There are circumstances in which, if the employer does not terminate the employee and the behavior is repeated, the employer may (depending on circumstances) face legal liability for failing to prevent the repeat behavior. But there are no laws in any state where firing the employee is mandatory.

You'll have to ask local attorney or victim's rights group; that is beyond the scope of employment law.
