I have come to believe that my office is being bugged. There has been a lot of unrest at work so naturally there is a lot of talking and *****ing and I have come to be convinced that the office is bugged because...the boss is always going around saying everything gets back to him. However, it seem like EVERYTHING gets back to him. That just defies the laws of probability. What can we do? Are there NJ laws that address this type of thing. He is using it to set me up. Now that I am convinced, of course, I will say nothing there to anyone, but I feel it has been going on for about a year now. This workplace is a municipal government office and we are state civil servants.

The Federal Wire Tapping Act, prohibits interception of oral and electronic communications.
The Act also makes it illegal to use any electronic, mechanical or other devices to intercept oral communications except under specified circumstances.
In addition, The New Jersey Wire Tapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act prohibits the interception of wire and oral communications, and provides both criminal and civil remedies, including punitive damages and attorneys fees.
The question then becomes how do you prove it?
You could contact the FBI but is unlikely they will be interested.
You could also try the US Attorney for the State of NJ of the New Jersey Office of Attorney General.
Regards.

Thanks for your help. Whatever happens I needed to know if it was illegal.
