I am in Nebraska and recently started a new job. The agreement was that I was to have one week paid vacation starting next week. I had this vacation planned before I accepted the job and the employer agreed to pay for it. Now my employer would like me to sign an agreement that I will stay employed for a year since my vacation is paid. If for some reason I did not stay for the year what could he legally do?

If the agreement so states, he theoretically could require you pay back the vacation pay. I'm not saying this is necessarily fair, but it wouldn't be illegal in your state.
