:o I made a complaint about my OM. Since he found out about it. It has been hell. First week my work was audited. They brought people from another office to do that. They were interviewing people when I was aware there was not a open position in the office. The OM has been telling most of the people who we make bussiness with That I was going to quit. I have been questioned for the minimum.
is this legal? Should I get legal representation????????
HR has not done anything yet. It has been about a week since my complaint.
What should I do?????????? :o
We need more information. What did your OM do that you complained about? It makes a difference what options you have.
I complaint of Sexual Harrasment. My OM was inviting me to go out with him. After I refused he started questiioned my work.
It's WAY too soon to be looking at legal representation.
A week is not a very long time to do a sexual harassment investigation in many cases, and HR is not required by law to come back and tell you what action they have taken. What you need to do now is let them know what is transpiring and that you believe it is related to your SH complaint.
BTW, the ONLY thing your employer is required to do is make the offensive behavior stop. If it does not stop and it becomes clear that it is not going to stop, your first step is to file a complaint with the EEOC or your state human relations commission. You CANNOT file a lawsuit until one agency or the other has issued you a right-to-sue letter.
How long do I have to wait for a response from HR????
Do they have to notify me when the investigation is over??????????
I do not have a clue of what to expect. I really appreciate your advise.
How long the investigation will take is situation specific. There's no possible way I can tell you how long it will take.
They are not obligated to tell you when the investigation is complete or what action they have taken.
