As a designer of foodservice equipment, the question of minimum age limits to use power driven foodservice equipment often arises during the design process. Some design ideas are scrapped because it has always been assumed that individuals under 18 years of age are not permitted to use "power driven equipment".
Is there a federal law stating minimum age limits for use of "power driven equipment (slicing/dicing equipment, to be specific) in a restraunt by teens? Are there individual state laws for the same? Is "power driven equipment" defined?
