I've been on FMLA for over 12 weeks and I just got a letter from my employer stating that if I don't return to work by a certain date I will be dismissed. If I get terminated am I entitled to collect unemployment?

When you are medically cleared to return to work you will be. But it is a requirement in most if not all states that you be able to work and actively looking for work before you can collect UI.

Thank you for responding to my question. If my employer contest the unemployment saying that I was able to return to work and chose not to would I still be able to collect?

It would depend on who the adjudicator found more creditable; you or the employer. It's impossible to tell, with the information available to us, which way it would go.
